I started a piece about Nigeria on my Facebook wall a few weeks ago. I have been meaning to conclude it but for lack of time. So, I decided to write the conclusion of that piece here. I want to briefly share what to expect in Nigeria in the coming years. I do not write or speak as one that knows it all. When you read through, you will understand what I mean.
In that Facebook page piece, I shared with you that I am of the opinion of everyone going their way to manage their resources and govern their people. I have held this belief for years even before things got this bad in the country. If you ask me right now, I still prefer that the three major ethnic groups in Nigeria manage their resources with their respective autonomous system of Government.
But beyond my thought, there is a higher voice speaking over Nigeria. That voice has been speaking even before the southern and northern parts of the country were amalgamated into what we now called Nigeria. So, over what I would have loved to see happen in Nigeria in what I think is best, that voice is superior and has a better interest for the nation. That voice is the voice of God. It does come in many ways, one of which is prophecy.
Things That Can Happen In Nigeria In Years To Come
If we go by the trend of the current happenings in Nigeria, especially in the political landscape, the future is not only blurry, but it is also scary. If you add the current economic and security challenges in the country to that trend, you will the reason behind many people leaving the country without looking back. Why are they leaving really? They are leaving because the future looks vague.
A few months ago, I shared with our students why we need to pray for safety seriously as we pass through this transition period. This is because this transition period is different from what we used to have in the time past. There is a lot that is at stake for the devil and God is at the point of doing something great in Nigeria. So, the devil is using and will still use his incarnates to do lots of evil through security challenges.
Why this is something that is evidently a reality in the country, it is not the only possibility available to our reality in Nigeria. There are other realities that people are not looking at. And I am amazed that people are tired of these evil realities, yet they never look beyond it to see other realities that are at our disposal as a nation. Before you conclude that it will move from bad to worse, at least read through till the end of this article.
What To Expect In Nigeria In Years To Come
While bad and worse things can happen in Nigeria in the years to come, I am bringing you words about things to expect in Nigeria soon. Even for me, I had to look again because it is so easy to be carried away by the pain of the current harsh economic realities and insecurities amidst other challenges draining this nation. That is the reason we need to look more for the possibilities of better realities.
During the endSARS protest, I wrote about what the late Chief Awolowo said. What we can prophesy in its own way. It is as if he knew the suffering would increase and that the masses will make demands for freedom. Well, we thought it would be fully fulfilled then but by my estimation, EndSARS was the beginning of the actualization of that prophecy.
In 2009, I was in Amphil Theatre at Obafemi Awolowo Univerity and I heard Fela Durotoye give a prophecy about Nigeria. Coincidentally, it was at a time I was asking myself if Nigeria will ever become great again. According to him, He said God told him that by the year 2025, Nigeria would be the most desirable place to live in the world. Although he added that he himself did not believe when God told him, he merely said amen.
He added that God told him He wasn’t praying but He is saying what He will do. Well, I kept that prophesy at heart. We are three years to the said time. With the things happening in the spiritual landscape of Nigeria, I believe this prophecy will not fall to the ground. God is already at work. I am convinced some devil incarnates will lose their relevance in Nigeria in the months to come while some will die to pave way for God’s purpose in Nigeria.
Why 2023 General Election Is Key To What To Expect In Nigeria In Years To Come
Many people do not why this 2023 election is so significant. It is because God is always seeking to raise His own and then empower them with an administration so that through that administration, God’s plan and purposes can touch everyone and become everyone’s life. It is all about the kingdom of God being established on earth in every ramification.
An England man by the name of Pa Sydney Elton once lived in Nigeria as a missionary for 50 years. He gave significant prophecies about Nigeria and his ministry birth most of the fathers of faith we have in Christianity in Nigeria. One notable prophecy he gave about this country is that this nation and its citizens would be known for corruption on earth but after a while, it will become a nation of righteousness and everyone would want to follow us to our country because of that righteousness.
It may interest you that the first part of that prophecy has been fulfilled and we all are witnesses to this. Nigeria has become synonymous with corruption almost everywhere. Interestingly, the year 2023 will mark the 40 years since that prophecy was given. 40 is a significant figure in God’s dealings and a while in Pa Elton’s prophecy may actually be that 40 years.
Friends, we are in a transition period. This is why God is raising and empowering a lot of young ministers in this current time. I perceived this in 2018 and if you follow this blog you would have seen different write-ups about God moving young people into ministry very fast. This year, I started with God having an agenda. Right now, it is all making more sense to me now.
Sometimes we perceive and have impressions without having full details but we declare whatever God wants us to declare because it would make sense someday. Right now, God is equipping people faster than before it is urgent. God is on a mission and it’s a great mission you can not afford to be left out of it as a kingdom Ambassador. God is establishing His kingdom in Nigeria
