How Prepared Are You (3)

Spread the love

Thank you for following this series. How prepared are you is still a great question. The blessings in the word will not elude you in Jesus’ name. Today, we shall look at how to obtain the salvation God has provided to bring us back to Him. We have established one of those in our previous article. That’s to know and acknowledge that we are sinners. We shall take it up from there in this piece.

Believe In Jesus Christ

If you will ever receive salvation to reunite you with God, you must first

believe in salvation. Jesus, Himself is the salvation God has offered

us. Notice this in the popular John 3:16, God offered Him and it added that

whosoever BELIEVE in Him will have everlasting life. Jesus said this same

thing in John 11:25-26. After introducing Himself as the life, He added

that “whosoever BELIEVE in me shall never die” In Acts 16:31, it says

“Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved” So you need to

believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

What Are You To Believe?

This is quite important because some people believe a lot of things about

Jesus Christ. Here what you need to believe is what the Bible calls Him.

You need to believe He is the resurrection and life. That is, the life of

God Adam lost in Eden which you want back. You need to believe He has only begotten son as John 3:16 calls Him. You need to believe He was beaten and died for your sins as shown in Isaiah 53. You need to believe that there’s no other name by which we can be saved other than the name of Jesus as indicated by Acts 4:12.

What’s Next?

After this, you need to accept Him into your heart and confess Him with

your mouth as your personal savior and Lord wholeheartedly. Note that this must be wholeheartedly to be genuine and for God to see your seriousness. Take a look at these two verses of the scriptures below;

Romans 10:9-10

[9]That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt

believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt

be saved.

[10]For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

So now is the hour God has been waiting for to have you back into His

kingdom first on this earth and in eternity. Don’t turn down His love

invitation. This is the moment. When I heard that a popular rap artiste who died about twenty-five years ago had this same invitation a few minutes before he was gunned down but rejected it. His reason was that he still wants to enjoy life but he didn’t know that he won’t get another invitation before his death.

He was prepared to enjoy life to the fullest but wasn’t prepared for eternity. So I ask again; how prepared are you? Eternity is longer than whatever amount of days you stay on earth. This is a window grace opened unto you. This might just be the last grace for you as well. I know you have heard it several times. Don’t waste this one.

Just confess your sins before God. Tell Him everything you have done and

sick for forgiveness. Irrespective of the kind of sins you have committed,

here is your word;

1 John 1:9

[9]If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Then surrender yourself to Jesus Christ. Tell Him you take Him as your

personal savior and Lord today. Release your all to Him. Talk to Him from

the depth of your heart.

As you have done that, he has heard you. Your sins are forgiven.
