In furtherance of our discussion on Romans 15:20, it is important that we discuss few things. I invite you to meditate on this same verse especially if you are called into ministry. If you must achieve the great results the Apostles of old achieved, we must study the way look into what they did. This verse is one of such verses that gives a clue into Paul’s ministerial operations. I will suggest you check the previous article on this verse here. This will help us to be on the same page.
In this piece, we shall take a look at few facts revealed by this verse. It is painful that this is no longer visible in our ministerial practice today. Actually, this explains why somethings are the way they are right now. It appears that the Church is fighting herself. I wonder how a divided house can survive and bring forth honourable results. It is high time we wake up from our slumber and realize our present situation as ministers of the Gospel.
No Unity Of Purpose Anymore
Today, ministers of the Gospel are fighting over things like membership. This should not even be heard of at all. I wonder what kind of ministers we are having today. I don’t even know how it all came to this that Pastors are fighting over members. Are we not suppose to be working for the same kingdom? It is obvious that some minister have personal or hidden agenda. I believe that is the fuel for such acts. If there is no unity among leaders, how do members gain unity? There is no unity of purpose towards getting people save.
It Should Not Be Heard From Altar
Paul says he moves to other locations so that he wont build on another man’s foundation. It is no longer news that Pastors are secretly taking over other people’s ministry. Is it not bad that Pastors are planning coup against their leaders to take them off the leadership of the Church? Church elders are causing trouble because they want to take over. How can you imagine taking another man’s work and foundation. This should not be heard of at the altar. So much is going on at the altar that is not worth hearing.
It is time for ministers of the Gospel to turn back to God. Remember how and where you were called. Think about what you were called to do. Repent and go back to your assignment. God is still counting on you, repent now before it is too late. Note that God can actually transfer your call. He can replace you if you don’t yield now.
