At The Feet Of Jesus Christ

If you study the Bible closely on the subject of discussion, you will discover two things. These two things shows the significant of the feet of Jesus Christ. It further shows what we need to do whether or not you are a Christian. The Feet of Jesus Christ means much more.

People Found At The Feet Of Jesus Christ

Each time the feet of Jesus Christ was mentioned in the synoptic gospels, there are certain type of people found there. One classic example is Matthew 15:30. Other Bible references are Mark 5:22-23, Mark 7:25, Luke 7:37-38, Luke 8:35, Luke 10:39, John 11:32 etc.

Matthew 15:30
[30]And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:

This shows that all the people found at Jesus Christ feet were distressed people and people with one issue or the other that they are not happy with. They are pained and their families with them. The great multitude came with people of different disabilities. So, they all have issues that they are not happy with. They are unhappy people.

What Jesus Did With Them

The second thing we can see is what Jesus did with them. That is evident in how they left. They didn’t go back the way they came. The difference between the way they came and left is what Jesus did for them. Matthew 15:30 ends with the phrase “and he healed them”

Today, Jesus says come onto me all year that are heavy laden and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). Is there anything troubling you and your household? Is there anything causing reproach in your life? Jesus says come and take rest now. Rest is available in Jesus Christ.

The first thing is that you will have to come to Jesus Christ. Everyone we read about in the Bible verses came unto Jesus Christ. Today, how do you come? You come by accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour. That’s how to come to Jesus Christ. Recognize the fact that He died for your sins to give you this freedom.

The second thing is that you must realize you don’t have power to do anything. The place called Jesus feet is a place of surrender where you declare you don’t have any power of your own to bring you out of the distress, pain and reproach. Today, if you will humble yourself before Jesus, you will find true rest in Him.
