Living By Revelation

In the last few days, we have been considering living a revelation. It is twice important that every believer should know how to capture revelation from the pages of the Bible and live it on a daily basis. That’s how we grow in the kingdom. Learn it now and embrace it into your life.

In this piece, I will like to address an important issue regarding living by revelation. I have seen a lot of people complained that they practiced a particular revelation after hearing a teaching on it but it didn’t produce result. So, they are concerned. Some have to a conclusion that the Bible is either not powerful or no longer powerful. I am hear to tell you that the Bible is still very powerful.

Follow The Bible

If you seem to catch a revelation that never worked, it is most likely that you didnt follow through the required steps to make it a reality. The Bible is actually a powerful manual for the human race. It is a map for destiny. The late Arc Bishop Benson Idahosa had to follow the Bible step by step to raise the first dead God used him to raise. Follow the Bible if you intend to get results.

Follow It With Faith

There are lots of people who follow the Bible step by step because they want to get results. They forget that it has to be done with faith. It must be mixed with faith. Faith is the power that gives your steps power which brings the results. You just have to believe the Bible for what it is and follow the required steps to get the results.

A Terrible Mistake

There is a terrible mistake people make in this faith era. A lot of people try to live on someone else’s revelation. When it failed it appears the person lied or God was partial in His dealings. Well, God is not partial. If you really want to live by a revelation and have results, the revelation must be more than head knowledge to you. It must become a reality in your spirit first. Until it has reached your spirit, it wont produce results.

A Frustrated Life

A frustrated life is not a kind of life anyone plans or intend to live. It appears a lot of people are living it already as a result consequences of their actions or inactions. What if you know exactly the things that may land you one and avoid them. Your guess is right as mine.

A whole lot of people are frustrated with their lives. Some are frustrated with their jobs, home, relationship, failure etc. They are constantly in pain of how things seems never to work. Lots of people are reminded of their failures every time they see other colleagues. People are constantly thinking about their failures even on the street.

The whole world is already tensed with lots of frustrated people. They constantly passing it around like an infectious virus. Don’t be part of them. It’s actually very easy to become one if not checked. This is because a companion of fools will become a fool if not worse. Unfortunately, there are too many people living the frustrated life. Hence, its a serious work to avoid living a frustrated life.

A Personal Decision

It begins from here. You need to make a personal decision that you will work with. Since you are likely to interface with a frustrated person at work, on the street or in the Bus. How do you interact with them without catching this deadly virus of frustration? A personal decision works like magic. It helps you to spot the virus and then try to avoid it.

Stop The Competition

Its funny how people compete with friends without their knowledge. Some people keep checking their friends life to set a standard for themselves. What a simple way to actively live a frustrated life! By now, it should be clear to you that everyone runs their own a race and get things done on his/her timelines. When your time comes, it will be evident. Just keep preparing for your breakthrough.

Unchangeable Things

Its very worrisome that some people are frustrated over things they can’t change. For instance, you can’t change your parents. So if they are poor that should not set you into frustration but it should fire you to do something to change your status. Learn to distinguish between what you can change and what you can’t. You won’t have control over everything.

Seek Help

Its bad how the society makes us see seeking help as a sign of weakness. No one is an island of knowledge, power, wealth etc. Everyone needs assistance at one point or the other. So seek help when you need it. Just make sure you seek the help at the appropriate places.

Your Companions

Who are your friends? Do they lift you or reduce your self esteem? Anyone who reduces your self esteem every time you interact is not a friend. Also, avoid staying too long with friends who are frustrated already. Their frustration will make you see things differently that you maybe feeling frustrated too.

Finally, know who you are. Make sure your visions are clear. Understand your goals and how you intend to achieve them. Work with your timelines and never force yourself into somebody else’s timelines. Keep in mind that success doesn’t come overnight, it takes work, courage, structure and time to build.

Best Advice Ever

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. 1 Chronicles 28:9

It is no longer news that the entire world seek advice. Everyone has been on the search for one advice that will liberate and give an assurance for success. Success is one thing that everyone wants urgently and critically. I am sure that even you my esteemed reader seeks success in all ramifications. It is possible that you have read several tips to success or step by step guide to deliver success. What if you have just one advice to deliver success.

It is possible that the tips for success and step by step guide worked but I can assure you that its not forever. If you read the tips or guide for success written ten years ago and apply it, it is not certain that you will end up successful. The change in times, seasons and orientation affects some of these tips and guides. Interestingly, there is an advice that will ensure success. This singular advice has survived centuries and its still working.

Its a single advice and not a set of rules or principles. If you find that one advice to succeed in all ramifications of life, won’t you yield to that advice? Won’t that advice be worth knowing and sharing with your loved ones? I trust it is worth knowing and following. This singular advice is what I have tagged the best advice ever. I am trusting God, the father of all spirits to engraft this advice into your spirit.

The advice can be seen in the farewell message of David to Solomon. David was exiting the earth and Solomon was to come into his place as a king and leader. David started his advice to Solomon by telling him to know God. The keyword “know” is very important. Which kind of God was he to know, the God of his fathers. That means the one whom David had established a covenant with. This is important for Solomon to be able to take advantage of the covenant with God.

If you are yet to know God, you have not started your journey to be successful. You can’t succeed without God or god. That’s why David made an emphasy on the God of his father. If you really need true success, you must begin by knowing God. Be careful not think that any god can offer you success. True success can only be found in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That’s the God of the fathers David was talking about.

Knowing God is not just about having head knowledge of who God is or who God is not. That kind of knowledge about God won’t help you. You need a personal knowledge of who God is to you. You need a personal relationship with God. For instance, i realized God is my father in heaven and not just a God. So, who is God to you? For some, God is a policeman trying to catch them for their sins. As we continue in this series, I challenge you to seek God and know Him.

Set Yourself On Fire

When I came across this quote above, it consumed the whole of me. It appears to me that the quote itself carries fire. Maybe the words are burning with fire. I have been thinking about this. I hope to communicate this as a revelation and not just an info.

Today, my question to you is simple, what do you live for? Life is more than existence. It most be with an intension. A mere existence of waking up, going to school and making a living is a kind of life not worth living. There must be something to live for. Something to catch fire about and then live it by burning that fire.

There is a fire of purpose burning in you that you are yet to give expression to. You are not just a being born to eat, grow, marry, give birth and die. Your life is worth much more. You need to remind yourself that you are a purpose covered with flesh. Everyone of us is a purpose in motion and thats why we must live a deliberate life.

A deliberate life with deliberate actions and inactions. There has to be some form of intention or purpose that guides all you do and stand by towards a particular purpose. There has to be one purpose you cry about in the secret and you are living passionately about in the public. You cant change everything in the world but your purpose is the tool God has given you to effect the change in crying silently in you.

If you want true success, find your purpose in life and fulfill it. Thats what true successful people do. So, set yourself to be successful by finding your purpose and fulfilling it. Those who follow this path never miss true success. So, set yourself on fire on purpose and let the world watch you burn into success.

Spiritual Portal (2)

Thank you for joining us on yet another piece on this page. Today, we shall be having the concluding part of spiritual portal. Though, the series maybe long but I do hope we have learnt one or two things. And most importantly, I hope we have been ushered into new realities about the gate of heaven and spiritual portal.

On spiritual portal, we already talked about what it means. A brief explanation in the form of physical and virtual. We discussed the importance of spiritual portal. We stated clearly that spiritual portals are unique to life and lands. It was clear that it can be hijacked and that we all are direct manifestation of what happens in our spiritual portals. If you have not read the first piece, you may go here.

Three Things To Note

If you forget all things about spiritual portal, please don’t forget these three things below. I honestly do not expect anyone to forget about spiritual portal. Whether or not you are interested in your spiritual growth, please note that spiritual portal is part of everyone and cities.

First, you must know that spiritual portal can’t be empty operationally. It is not designed to be empty and it can never be. This is evident in the law of the spirit realm I mentioned in the first piece. That means, if you have not been active then another spirit or person has been dictating the events of your life.

Also, you must know when your spiritual portal is active. For Jacob, its in the night. The covenant of blessings was activated in the night. He was multiplied prophetically into a nation in the night. Friends, you must know when your spiritual portal is active. That time is a crucial moment in your life. You may waste other times but you can’t afford to joke with the time when your spiritual portal is active.

Finally, for this piece, you must know how to engage with your spiritual portal. If you know the first two without this one, you can’t do much. Your ability to walk in the path that has not been seen and touch the invisible is largely dependent on how much you engage your spiritual portal. This is where you learn the deep things and understand how your actions and inactions impact your life spiritually.

I hope you’ve gotten some relevant info in this piece. Although this is a little info about spiritual portal on individual life. This doesn’t contain any info about spiritual portal of lands and cities. I hope this will move you to search for God the more. Spiritual Portals

Calvary greetings to you. Thanks for making it a date to read through this blog once again. I appreciate your time and all that it cost you to be here. For sharing our previous posts, a huge thanks to you. And for commenting on each post, it means a lot to me, thank you. A first timer? I am honored to have you on this page.

Today, I will be delivering the second part of “Gate of Heaven” as promised. If you haven’t gone through the series on “Gate of Heaven, please click here. If you have not checked the first part, please do. In this piece, we shall be looking at an important spiritual concept in the life of Jacob. This is called spiritual portal.

What Is Spiritual Portal?

In order to fully grasp this, it is quite important to take the words in the combination one after the other. This will afford us the opportunity to elucidate the topic clearly and simply. So, what does spiritual means? Of course, it means something divine or demonic or beyond normal human efforts or control. Its anything that can’t be explained or view under normal human actions. I trust you grasp this.

Next is the term portal. Portal means an entrance. It is something or a place that grant you an entrance into a place or something. This could be virtual as well as physical. For instance, some house are built with portal. Its usually a small place just before the entrance. That’s the example of physical portal. An example of virtual portal is the online registration portal for students. A place where you login with your matriculation number and password.

If we combine these two explainations together, spiritual portal will mean a place or thing beyond human reasoning that grants you access into something. If you follow this carefully, spiritual portal is close to a virtual portal. Its just that it has capacity to control or influence the physical world because the spiritual controls the physical. I sincerely hope this clearly and simply explains the concept.

Spiritual Portal In Practical Terms

If you interact with the spirit realm well enough whether demonically or divinely, you will realize that every life, city or land has a spiritual portal. Even as human beings, each of us has a spiritual portal. In practical terms, that’s where all the events that occurred and that will still occur are decided. Some do not even know that there is a spiritual portal to every life and land.

Every life is a direct manifestation of the activities allowed in the his or her portal. And because it is spiritual, it can only be handled spiritually. In a place where it is left unhandled by the person in charge, it will be controlled by another. This is inline with one of the laws of the spirit realm. That law states clearly that there can’t be vacuum in the spirit. So if you fail to stand in your place spiritually, something else will and dictate the affairs of your life.

Promise Of A Second Chance

In the same vein, I will like to welcome you to this piece titled “Promise of a second Chance”. I trust that it will make meaning to you and help you live purpose driven life.

What is Second Chance?

Second Chance is not a new thing. It’s a common concept. Well, it can be seen as the another opportunity to do something or right someone’s wrongs. It means a new moment to try again. Sometimes we mess up the opportunity we have to get things done either in our personal life, work or on a project. If you are lucky enough to do those things again, its a second chance being presented to you. Grab it!

Don’t Let it Get To That

Unfortunately, second chance is not something anyone can guarantee. So it’s advisable to use the one you have judiciously. What that means is that, every moment must count for whatever it was designed for. You need to live each moment purposefully. Be intentional with your life and every moment you spent on your work or project. Do that can be done at the appropriate time because a second chance may never come.

A lot of people live their lives as if they have a second one somewhere. Hello, there’s no guarantee that you are coming back or that you will get a second chance to live again. Life with care and purposefully. Don’t wait until the moment of regret when you finally realized no more chance to right your wrong. Make every moment right now. Live your life right now, there is no promise of a second chance.

If That’s What You Have

Take a pause and think about your live. Are you not living the second chance now. Its okay if that’s what you have but its not okay if you are living it recklessly. You need to be reminded that not everyone got the second chance. Now, that you have it, use it judiciously. Whether its your normal life, or at work irrespective of where your second chance is coming from, make it count for good.

A Borrowed Life

There once lived a broadcaster in Nigeria. He was a friend to my mum. At a point in he is life, he became so sick for a long time. It was a kidney problem and it was really bad. He almost lost his life and no one believed he would rise again. Prior to this time, God had been reaching out to him to give his life to Jesus Christ but he always deflected it. Even on his sick bed, he wasn’t ready.

God visited him and offered to give a second chance. He was miraculously healed. On one of his visits to my mum’s place. After sharing the story of his miraculous healing; something he himself could not fathom. They prayed together, my mum said God told her to tell him he was living on a borrowed life. He replied that he was aware. He died few months later without giving his life to Jesus Christ.

My esteemed reader, you may not get the second chance after this moment. It is quite important to prepare for the place you will end it all after leaving earth. A place of peace is sure with Jesus Christ because He promised it. Here is the moment to surrender all Jesus Christ. If rapture takes place now, and you have not surrendered all to Him, it will be a time of regret when you get to the other end. Now is the time.

The Greatest Discovery Ever

Making a discovery is one of the things you can do to gain affluence and influence. Lots of Scientists have made wonderful discoveries that placed them in a celebrated list of icons. Of all discoveries you can ever make in life, there is one that will give you all you ever wanted in life. Not everyone will have the skill or knowledge to discover great things but everyone can make this discovery.

I am sure a number of thoughts are running through your mind right now trying to place what kind of discovery I am talking about. Let’s see if you can guess right if I tell you more about it. This discovery is capable of blessing you with all that you want to achieve with your life. It will give meaning to life from your perspective and that’s why I refer to it as the greatest discovery of all times. Well, let’s see if we are on the same page. It’s called self-discovery.

Yes, its self-discovery. The success journey begins and ends there. If you have not discovered yourself, how do you intend to live you. Except you discover yourself, you will be living someone else’s life. So the question is really about how you intend to be a successful without discovering who you are? If you are not living your life, it is certain you will be living someone else’s life. And you can’t live somebody else’s life and be a successful you. It’s not possible.

If you ask me, this is why lots of people are frustrated. There is a deep feeling they are not who they are meant to be. There is a strong cry from within asking where the real person has been. Don’t neglect the feeling, don’t shy away from the cry, you must live out the life created for you. There is a life crafted for you and into you. To live that life, you must first discover yourself. All you need to live that life has been crafted into you. This is a passionate plead and call, you need to discover yourself.

It’s no longer news that almost everyone wants to live their life to the fullest. But then, how do you live your life to the fullest when you have not even discovered it? You have a right to live your life to the fullest but of course that has to be a discovered life. Living a life out of self-discovery is one simple way to be frustrated and irrelevant in life. Your relevance is in living a self-discovered life. That’s where you understand why you are here in the first place. Think about this.

How Do You See Spiritual Investment?

Last year, an incident occurred that illustrates how we sometimes treat spiritual investment opportunities or see the need to enjoy instant physical gratification at the expense of future spiritual gain. This is particularly about spiritual investment. So my question to you is simple, how do you see spiritual investment? If you have not been thinking in this direction, its time to begin to channel your thoughts and actions in this direction.

Its interesting to note that we often tell the stories of people who made painful spiritual investment and how it eventually paid off but we don’t consider ourselves doing the same. A story was narrated about how a former president of Nigeria was used as a ransom for church musical instrument payment when he was a child. A lot of clergy men traced his greatness to this. That was not just a spiritual investment, its a painful one.

Another story of a business tycoon in Nigeria was narrated on how he sacrifice his seat for a man of God who was almost late for a ministerial assignment. According to the story, the clergy prayed a simple prayer that day. A lot of people have traced the tycoon’s success to that powerful prayer. It was a spiritual investment. We don’t know what that cost him but it is sure that it cost him something. Success will cost you some form of spiritual investment.

This reminded me of an incident last year. A senior lecturing colleague in the Bible School bought a new mobile phone. It was a good one and I jokingly made an offer to him. It was a simple one, sow the phone to me and I will pray for you for one year. While we laugh about it he suddenly realized it was great offer. He said “I would have released the phone but…” And he was silent. I guess you would have done the same but do you know what it means to be prayed for round the year? Take a little time to think about it.

When I was doing my industrial training attachment in an Hotel in Ibadan. I witness a scene similar to the above description. One of the front office staff who normally washes guest car for a fee checked in a guest. He had expected to be tipped but he wasn’t. The man wanted to pray for him but that was of no interest to him. Unknown to him, he was a regional overseer of a particular denomination. Even when he was told, he said the money was of more value. Do you agree with him?

Strive to make some spiritual investment. The spiritual still controls the physical. Yours may not be in giving or helping people. You may tarry in prayer, worship etc. Just as much as possible to make some spiritual investment. Make it a lifestyle. If only some had done this years back, its most likely they will have achieve more effortlessly. One brother shared his testimony on how God helped him during an interview. A member of the panel had to call and tell him that its either his parents or him had been a prayer warrior. That means he knew some sacrifices had been made at the altar. Now, its your turn, arise and begin to make spiritual investment.

Time For Opinion Check

We live in the world of opinions. Everyone holds an opinion about people, place etc. Its interesting to know that even you have an opinion about yourself. So in this piece, we will take a brief look at our opinions, how they are formed and how they affect us. If you have never thought of this, it maybe a good time to take deep breath and challenge yourself.

What Is An Opinion?

As usual, never border about what dictionary calls it. Let’s flow together. An opinion is just an idea you form in your mind about a thing, place, person etc prior to interaction. Its a way you perceive a person, thing or place to be just before they ever have a chance to give you a self definition. It may also mean what the image suggest to you before getting to know the person, object or place in details.

How Opinions Are Formed

It may interest you to know that opinions we form about people, place or thing emanates from us. It comes from some sort of standard we have created in our subconscious. For instance, we may have some sort of dressing standard so whenever people fall short of it, they already have a class in our mind. These standards come from our previous experience and life interactions. So in a way, we are judging the book by its cover based on our previous experience. It may simply means we are defining other people, place or thing by someone else standard.

Why You Need Opinion Check

There is great relationship between your opinions and your success rate. A lot of people have not sense this. It is quite important to pay attention to this because it may mean the different between failure and success in your life.
The way you respond and react to things, situations and people is largely base on your opinions concerning them. A lot of people have lived with opinions that have consistently put them at a disadvantage position in achieving their success. This maybe a good time to start checking your opinions and unlearning the ones putting you far from achieving your goals.

Work To Do

Find a suitable environment where you can be relaxed. Take a pen and write out your opinions about your most desired accomplishments. Take a time to think it through and see if its helping you get closer to your dreams. If its not, have a rethink. Research and find out if you are right or wrong. The truth is, your opinions as real as it is to you, it maybe wrong. Your opinions may not matter much to the place, thing, situation or person whom you are holding one about, but it is quite crucial to you and may impact your success rate.
